2009 World Championship Off-Road Races
September 11 – 13, 2009

This Labor Day weekend was touted as Crandon’s 40th Anniversary of Short-Course Off-Road Racing. With that a venerable “who’s who” of off-road legends prepped their 800+hp trucks for a fun-filled race weekend!

Robby Gordon did double duty this weekend racing TORC and NASCAR – welcome back to Crandon Robby!

Greg Adler and his 4 Wheel Parts #10 run well during Friday practice.

Our long time friend Kevin Probst concentrates…and we like the decal placement, thanks Kevin!

Always prepped and ready to go, Rob MacCachren came out with a hard fought 2nd & 3rd place for Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

After a tough Round on Saturday, Scotty Taylor made up for it with a win on Sunday! He looks determined, doesn’t he?

TORC Official, Driver and Motocross veteran Ricky Johnson – If you make it out to a race, be sure to walk the pits and get an autograph!

Speaking of signatures, Crandon is has a great family atmosphere and it wouldn’t be the same without Walker Evans and Evan Evans! They are certainly fan favorites!

Evan had a great race weekend in front of 40,000 fans coming away with a 3rd and 5th place each day!

Always good to see friends at the races - my thanks to Jim Conner, Jimmy Villicano and Steve White…see ya at SEMA!

Doug Fortin Racing, transmission specialists by trade – but the mud flaps say it all!

For those of you who follow Crandon, you know the Flannery name and history. It was good to see Jack, our best to him and the family. Jamie sported the old class number “435” and looked good during practice! Unfortunately he had a tough weekend, but it was good to see him out!

Crandon Raceway is known for their landrush start…Desert Champion Scott Douglas knows how to do it – Congrats for a Saturday win and Top 5 on Sunday!

Note the fans, the tradition and the family atmosphere…well, check this out – the LeDuc clan, Curt and sons Todd and Kyle did pretty well this weekend! Todd won on Saturday, Curt finish 3rd and Kyle’s #99 won the coveted BorgWarner Trophy! It’ll be a good trip home to Cherry Valley, CA!!!
(Check out Curt just as happy ten years ago!)
