 Bob Vandergriff Jr., appearing in his 14th final round, finally won his first NHRA Top Fuel event to highlight Sunday’s final eliminations at the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex. Bob Vandergriff Jr. put away hometown favorite Spencer Massey in the final round. In Funny Car Cruz Pedregon raced to his first win of the season and move into the third spot in the Funny Car points standings putting away Ron Capps in the process. In Pro Stock Jason Line met up against Kurt Johnson again but this time Jason took the win. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Michael Phillips held off rookie rider Hector Arana Jr. in final to secure his first win in more than a year. Congratulations to all the winners!

Matt Hagan became the first Funny Car driver in NHRA history to make a three-second run! He drove to his first win of the season and backed up his national record-setting run taking out Mike Neff in the process. Top Fuel had teammates Antron Brown and Spencer Massey face each other with Antron coming out on top. In Pro Stock, after more than three years since his last race win, Kurt Johnson held off Jason Line to get the win. Pro Stock Motorcycle had Eddie Krawiec run past Karen Stoffer in the final. Leah Pruett raced to her first NHRA Pro Mod win defeating teammate Melanie Troxel in the final. Congratulations to all the winners.

 Hot Rod's Drag Week is on! Drag Week puts competitors' vehicles to the test at five dragstrips on five consecutive days in five different states, and the lowest average e.t. wins. The kicker is that all vehicles must drive from track to track with no trailers or support vehicles allowed, so over-the-road dependability will be just as important as brute acceleration.  Antron Brown became the first driver to win the historic even in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle taking his Matco Tools dragster to the win getting past Del Worsham in the final. In Funny Car, Mike Neff drove his Ford Mustang past Bob Tasca III to secure his first U.S. Nationals win. Pro Stock had Greg Anderson race against teammate Jason Line with Anderson holeshotting line and taking the win. Pro Stock Motorcycle had Hector Arana Jr. take his first win as a rookie taking down Jerry Savoie in the final round. Congratulations to all the winnners!
