Default Hall effect sensor hook up

The current ignition on my GM V6 odd fire engine is an MSD 7 al 2 modified by MSD for v6 odd fire timing. The distributor is a Mallory with most internals removed and milled down to accept Bosch Volvo V6 cap with the correct castle spacing for the odd fire engine. The ignition is triggered by a cam sensor. I now want to replace the MSD sensor with a Smith Systems Hall effect sensor and wanted to know if this will cause any problems and if not would you have advice on hook up issues that might not be obvious.

Default

What kind of output signal is produced by that Smith Systems Hall effect sensor? Is it a square wave? Positive or negative?

The MSD on the points input is looking to see a POS square wave, battery amplitude with the signal positive for 20 of crankshaft rotation.
