SB-6 Auto Shift

I have an MSD4227 on a GenI Hayabusa.Also bought the MPS auto shift box exclusively for an SB-6.From what I read when powered up it should run a self test which triggers the shift light pulse.Mine is not performing this function.Any tips?Everything else works.

Unfortunately I found the issue.The MPS box I bought was mis-wired at the plug.In the picture you can see the indexing of the wires is wrong.And the plug is keyed,it will only go together one way.

Will the SB6 work correctly with out the MPS shift unit installed? Being we did not make the MPS unit you may want to check with them to make sure the wires are in the correct location. If you have anymore questions you can email me at rcorral@msdpowersports.com.
