Wondering if you guys can help me with this. Just can't get my head around it for some reason. I notice the MAP table seems to show the timing and "psia" I found a conversion table to vacuum.
I know I'd have to just mess with it to see what my particular car likes, but is there some sort of base line to get me started? Any help would be appreciated. Also, does the 6010 have the ability to retard timing in each gear? Thanks |

I found the easiest way to set a MAP advance is to do it while the car is running. Im not saying to program it while you are driving, have someone else drive or have a passanger man the lap top while the car is on the road. this will give you a better idea of how the engine reacts in certain driving conditions.
As far as retarding timing per gear this unit does not have that feature.
