Is it safe to mount a coil sideways, as in paralel to the ground? I found a nice place to mount it sideways and was wondering if it wold cause any problems. Thanks

Mounting any oil filled coil side ways is not recommended. MSD offers a small, Powerful Coil that can be mounted in any direction and is small for tight areas. The MSD Blaster SS Coil part number is, PN 8207 (incase you are interested).

The oil is what cools the coil. When a oil filled coil is mounted side ways it tends to get hot and fail.
