Default Need to "reset" ignition after installing 6A?

The 6A instructions say that the ignition timing will be affected and must be reset after installing the 6A. On a computer controlled ignition system (Porsche 944 turbo motronic Bosch ecu), is that necessary? I ask because there is no way to "reset" or adjust the timing (other than remapping the chips, etc.). So if the 6A changes the timing in any meaningful way, then I'm hesitant to use it on this car. Thanks.

No, the 944 has no factory ignition timing marks.

so, this may sound funny...how did they check the factory timing before?
do you use some kind of scan tool ..or at the mercy ,that the timing is good?

A lot of factory EFI engines have no timing marks and hence no way of checking the timing.
Doesn't stop you from finding true TDC and marking your own marks.

Of course, you may not have any adjustment, the crank sensor is more than likely in a fixed position from the factory.
