New to the msd 6530 HELP

Just installed the 6530 programmable box in my 92 foxbody mustang . Been reading up on it for a while , figured i get as i coverted from efi to blow thru carb wit my car. Im have dist. Locked out at 32* as recommended so figured i turn car on while laptop was on and saw on the graph where guages are and noticed that my car was idle at 900 rpm but the graph guage was saying 2000 rpm something not right need help!!!!!

is the cylinder count on 8 ?...also you using a magnetic pick-up distributor?

U was right finally got around to it and u was right on the cyclinder count... Its working fine now ur help is highly appreciated....
