I've been told that the Pro Mag 12 has a problem with starting and they have to be sent back to be modified to the 20 amp.Is there any truth in this rumor?

I'm thinking about going to the 16 volt but at this time i have the 12 volt. And yes i'm turning a blower belt. The starter is a gear reduction.so what i've heard is that the 16 volt will not hurt my racepak or any other part of my system.Any suggestions on this topic would be helpful.

the tighter the blower..the lower the cranking speed .. so ,yes...i would use either 16 or 18 volts to get that cranking speed up.
also, keep in mind that the 20 has more current then the 12amp... which will also start a little easier ...are you using gas or alcohol to start it ? |
