Replacing a 6 year old 6AL that suddenly failed, with a 6AL-2 PN 6421 and question whether I still need the Starter Saver PN 8984 on a 12.1 SBC. Not sure it was really needed in the first place, since it never exibited any hard start issues until the 6AL started acting up a couple of months ago by requiring a lot of spinning over to fire in the lanes. Opinion is appreciated.
