I just recently purchased a MSD set-up from Summit Racing for my 67 Camaro with a 350 engine 400hp. I was looking at your website after I made my purchase and you recommend a different set-up. So I just want to make sure the set-up I purchased is going to work for my application. I Purchased the MSD-6425 6AL digital box with the MSD-8361 Distributor and the MSD-8202 Blaster 2 Coil with MDS-31249 wire set? On your site you list a MSD-6200 box with the MSD-8361 Distributor and the MSD-8202 blaster 2 coil with wire set 31659. Do I need to send the items back to summit and change my order to what you recommend or will my set-up work? If so what are the benefits or drawbacks to either and will the MSD-8207 Blaster SS coil work with my set-up or do I have to stay with the Blaster 2 coil? I also have a question about spark plugs I am currently running R45ts plugs in my 350 When I change to the MSD set-up will these plugs be ok or do I need to change to a different type plug I heard maybe I need to go to a R45tsx is this true? What Gap should I run on my plugs?
Thanks For any help, Chris |

but any spark plug of choice will work ...from a 1 dollar plug on up....the performance output(current and voltage ) will be the same. as far as the " gap"....what is the compression on this motor? |

What is the issue with the wire set? I would prefer the pre madeset 90 deg red.The coil will be mounted either on the firewall or fenderwell. I'm not 100% sure on the compression I think it is 10 to 1 if I remember right it was built a few years ago.

The wires are for the old "points" style cap. You can use our PN 35659 for an out of the box pre-made set.

I just got a set of the 35659 wires but the coil wire doesn't work on the blaster 2 coil the wires have female ends on both sides? Why wouldn't they come with a male end on one side for the blaster 2 coil?
