8956 rpm switch install questions

question #1- my tach output on my 6btm is currently running my tach/shift light, do i tee/tap into that circut?

question #2- do i have to use a relay or can the rpm switch run a shift solinoid?

question 2.5- if i need a relay is there a part number to use?

#1 you can use up to 3 components off the tach output wire

#2 you will need to use a relay because the 8956 can only handle 1.5 amps of current.

#2.5 pn 8961 will work for your application.
