is there a ground wire from :
head to head.........then to the corner of the points box( 8106/8105) then to chassis ground? also , what plug gap are you running ( should be between .015 to .020) |

gaps 24/100
Funny, we have always run with this sort of gap. Earth was to one head only. Will see if this helps. Any other ideas? |

yeah, grounds are the most common problem( people dont use them)
back in ther early days of i.h.ra. ( pro outlaw)... we had a good customer of ours ..run in the low 6's ...long story short...a few races later the right side bank was running rich....i installed grounds to the heads and coil..blam -o ....car cleaned up ...and went back to running good again.. lets be honest here...everyone "claims to have grounds "....and putting a heavy lead to the block is not going to cut it. the spark plugs are in the head ...not the block...add in the coated studs, alum heads ..gaskets ..and you lose you "true ground path"... by the way " r.i.p neal parker ".....we all miss you here at M.S.D. |
