Which rpm switch to use ?

I have a need to use a rpm switch to open a 2nd stage manifold.

I want the manifold to open at 3900 rpms and stay open till rpm's drop lower, maybe 3700 rpm's.

I have bought a 8950 that would only turn on at my chossen 3900 chip but,would never turn off.
So I assume I bought the wrong one.

I then bought a 8956 rpm window switch and have it loaded with 3900 ON,3700 OFF and the switch does nothing.
If I pull the OFF chip out it will activate but it won't turn off.

I need a switch that will work for me.

Also could you tell me how to check the 8956 switch to make sure it's not faulty.

Have you ever checked on a switch solution ?

We tested pn 8969 digital rpm window switch and it will turn on at 3900 rpm then off at 3700 rpm. The catch is there is a two hundred rpm window that you need to keep in mind. What this means is there needs to be a two hundred or greater rpm difference between your on and off point in order for this to work. If you have any other questions please give me a call
