I have a need to use a rpm switch to open a 2nd stage manifold.
I want the manifold to open at 3900 rpms and stay open till rpm's drop lower, maybe 3700 rpm's. I have bought a 8950 that would only turn on at my chossen 3900 chip but, would never turn off. So I assume I bought the wrong one. I then bought a 8956 rpm window switch and have it loaded with 3900 ON,3700 OFF and the switch does nothing. If I pull the OFF chip out it will activate but it won't turn off. I need a switch that will work for me. Also could you tell me how to check the 8956 switch to make sure it's not faulty. Thanks for what ever advise you can offer. |

The rpm switches we have where not designed to work the way you need them to. Can you please email your contact information so I can get back to you after we test one of our rpm switches to see if we can make it work for you.

We tested pn 8969 digital rpm window switch and it will turn on at 3900 rpm then off at 3700 rpm. The catch is there is a two hundred rpm window that you need to keep in mind. What this means is there needs to be a two hundred or greater rpm difference between your on and off point in order for this to work. If you have any other questions please give me a call
