I have a very straightforward setup on a big block Mopar - 6530, Blaster II coil, 8546 distributor, 1 bar MAP sensor. Running 44 deg max timing locked out with run and boost retard curves, no other retards wired in.

Data acquisition is fine when I start the car - RPM and MAP sensor readings display in Pro Data software via serial port connection. After about a minute, it shows 0 RPM in the Run retard window, while Boost retard window continues to show the MAP output. The physical timing on the engine continues as programmed.

If I shut down and restart, same thing - RPM output for a minute or two, then 0. No problem as seen with timing light.

Is this a known issue or is it just a problem with this box?
