Timing control options with locked dist.
 

A customer has acquired a Street Only car that has an MSD 7AL3 and 8550 distributor .

The distributor has no advance and does not appear to have any way to have advance.

Running around with locked timing , to me makes zero sense on a street driven car.

Is there a suitable add on electronic control so he can have an actual curve , or do we need to ash can the 8550 for something like a 8394 or 8361

Trying to make a "race deal" streetable for a customer.
Just thought any added cruise timing would help the already abysmal mileage

well, not knowing the compress...makes me not want to run vacuum advance.
so we really need to know this , before cranking in timing.
