How is the reliability of the 8381 Optispark
 

I have a 92 Corvette with factory Optispark issues. I am in the process of selecting a replacement and am looking at the MSD 8381. But I am seeing a lot of negative posts on this unit. Is the reliability better now than the past units? Is there any advice you factory technicians can share with me to increase my odds of a more seamless transition from the stock unit to the MSD unit?

most customers either replace the opti with a oem or ours...or pony up and go to a coil per cylinder
system like deteq or efi connections.com ( that uses a ls-1 computer)

I ordered the 8381 today. Hopefully, I will be one of those satisfied customers.

Installed it yesterday. Runs great.
