Hello, I am unsure as to which spark type wires I should use. I have an 86 Z-28/Iroc. It is a 5.0 and fuel injected. It is pretty much bone stock but I am going to start modding it pretty soon. I want a set of MSD plug wires but I am unsure as to which set to get. A guy from Kragen told me to get msd heli-core spark plug wire set part number 3177, but I think that is only for engines 366-454. Could you help me out here? Thanks.

Mike

Here are the sets that we would recommend for your 1986 Chevrolet Z28/Iroc 5.0L (L98) engine.

MSD Heli-Core Wire (Blue) 700-1200 ohms per foot
PN 3145

MSD Super Conductor Wire (Red) 40-50 ohms per foot
PN 31459

MSD Super Conductor Wire (Black) 40-50 ohms per foot
PN 31453

MSD lists these sets for use on the 1984-91 Chevrolet Corvette 350 TPI, but they also fit the Z28/Iroc applications as well.
