NHRA has allowed the TAFCs to use a programmable ignition system for 2007. We currently run only the standard points box for a Pro Mag 44 system on our TAFC. What is your interpretation and recommendations for us to use a programmable ignition system on our TAFC?

I guess I do not follow the question. The 8973 will simply wire into the existing system (as shown below) and allow you to control timing, rev limiting, shift lights with out using any chips etc.

The 8973 used with the 44 is legal for NHRA in 2007 isn't it?
