I was planning on purchasing a new ignition, coil, and wires for my 1984 toyota 22R four cylinder pickup sr5. The idle is really rough and I was hoping getting new ignition parts would help bring up the voltage and keep the idle constant and smooth. The problem is i don't know what ignition and coil i need, and i don't want to spend more than I have to buying an ignition more than is adequate, its not a huge 350ci+ chevy and i don't need a ignition that big. What do you think would work best for the buck? same for the coil. Thank you for your patience,
John

The Ignition unit that will give you more spark energy is the PN 6200, MSD 6A, as well as the PN 8202 Blaster 2 Coil. With the MSD 6A you will be able to eliminate the factory igniter or you can use the factory igniter to trigger the MSD Unit. Either way it will give more spark energy for better performance and fuel economy.
Thanks,
