I would like some further understanding of the theory of developing advance curves. I would like to know if there are books or technical bulletins available that can describe how to properly plot an advance curve based on specific tuning parameters. I am planning on using the pro data software and want to plot the best curve for my application, but everything that I have read is vague and mentions that further knowledge of timing theory is required for fine tuning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
