I just got my MSD SCI PN:6300 and Blaster 2 Coil for my 1996 Nissan Altima. My question is, do I have to have a tach adapter (PN 8910) to make it work. I've read some have and some didn't need it. Also, what kind of wires and plugs should I be using with this system...and one more..what to set the gap on the plugs to now.

We have run into some situations that you will not need the adapter, but once the unit is installed and the vehicle either has a check engine light or the tach does not work properly then you will need the PN 8910 Adapter.
The plug wires do not matter just as long as they are in good shape and condition. The plugs, try to stick to a standard plug, do not use any type of Hype plug, (ei, platinum, iridium) they do not make any difference when using the MSD Unit. You may increase the gap by .005 to get a better fuel burn.
