best way to control wheel spin?

I race an Outlaw 10.5 car with 3 large kits of Nitrous, my question is.

Our Racepak shows a spike on the graph that the shows that the tires are spinning at the gear change.
Should I take out a degree of timing to calm it down at the gear change and ramp it back in during the run. And will this cause any damage by doing it this way? What is the best way to do this?

Is there a gear curve to get this done? If so how should it be done.

Suggest you install a 7531 that can be setup for a timing curve by the gear and or use a step retard that can be activated to retard the timing at each gear shift then allow timing to ramp back to maximum after programmed time. The 7531 is the ignition that the 10.5 in class uses to get down the track. if you want to really get control of wheel spin you can program a slew rate revlimiter for each gear to control the maximum rate of acceleration in each gear as well.
