I am running a DIS-4 in my 4.6 powered mustang. I have the required Tach Adapter. The problem is when I connect a 12 volt source I can not get the LED light to come on. However when I check it with a meter I have power everywhere. Then if I tap the power wire to the two small red wires I can sometimes get it to come on, no consistency. I am at my witts end. :(

The MSD Digital DIS Ignition is equipped with an LED monitor. The LED will light every time there is a spark. At above idle speeds, it may appear to be on continuously. If the LED begins to flash erratically, it is indicating that there is a problem. The battery supply voltage may be getting to low for full power operation, or a coil positive wire may be grounded. It will not turn on only by powering up the unit.
