This 97 Altima is stock and I am looking at upgrading the compter intake and exhaust . I have a MSD 6AL that i would like to use on this car, but the wiring is over my head. This car has the 2.4L the coil is built in side the distributor cap and the wire inside the cap are NOT like a honda. I have looked around but the Nissian 2.4L upgrades are hard to find. Or is there a differant MSD setup that i could use. I'm looking for better gas milage and a little more power. THANKS.

If you have an internal coil, there is also a power transistor that is built in as well. With this application you will not be able to install an MSD Unit, the MSD unit will provide 460 volts to the primary side so the transistor will not be able to handle this type of voltage and will damage the transistor. In order to adapt an MSD unit you have to get to the primary wires of the coil and with the transistor built internal this cannot be done.
