I will need to know if this vehicle was manufactured in the states, I only show the 4G15, which was the 1.5L in the mirage. If you could let me know or if you have any factory diagrams, I will let you know what we have available.
Thanks,

sir, the ignition system of the '89 Lancer EL is equipped with an oil-filled ignition coil and a CEI type distributor with built-in igniter. What model would fit into my Lancer?

If it were a single coil with no built in transistor, then the unit that could be used would be the PN 6300, MSD SCI or the PN 6320 SCI w/rev limiter. Mitsubishi's will normally use the PN 8910 for either a factory tach or fuel injection, but since your is carb and if you do not have a tach you will not need it.

"PN 6300, MSD SCI or the PN 6320 SCI w/rev limiter" is this the same as 6AL? and which is better the 6300 or 6320? and what will suit my application the most? should I also have to upgrade my cap also and my high tension wires?

The SCI and SCI-L are the same units as far as outputs; the only difference is the rev limit feature. The 6A-L is also the same unit as the SCI-L other than the different color and the instructions. Either of them will work for your application. It is not necessary to upgrade the cap, rotor or wires, just as long as they are in good shape and condition and that they do not have a lot of miles on them. If they do, I would recommend changing them out.
