The instructions shows hook up to the box but then it says to press the "red Button" to set the clyinders to 8/6/4 Hmmm since I have a RX-7 12a 2 rotor not sure which setting to use. Testing soft rev limiters(8738) box # 6446 and coils 8222 one of each for the leading plugs and another set for trailing plugs. Thanks T Weaver

If you are using the PN 8998 Ignition Tester to check to see if the Rev Limiter is actually working, then set the 8/6/4 setting to 4 cylinder. If you are trying to set the actual rev limit point where it is going to limit at on the engine, then install a 3000 low rpm limit module in the unit and use that to check the actual rpm where the rpm is limiting at.

Ok last night we did a manual test per troubleshooting advice and got spark. Then hooked the tester up per instructions ( connected red & black to 12V supply) hooked the white wire from tester to the white wire that we used for manual test and turned the rpm switch up but there was NO spak from the test Plug? Make sure the magnetic pick up is not connected, and that the white wire of the MSD Unit is the only one connected to the white of the tester. Try this and see if you can get it to work.
