I have a Nissan hard body with a z24i, but I removed the fuel injected throttle body and am now running a Weber 38 with some headers and such, my next step is ignition and could use some advise. The naps-z motor has two coils do I need two ignitions? But the big question is can I by-pass the factory ignition system with an after market controller? This needs to be done to eliminate the improper signals from the ecu due to its loss of injection control. I have the z24i and z24 distributors at my disposal. What would you suggest.

If you have the dual plug set up, I would recommend getting a aftermarket ECU and firing as a waste spark system where it will fire both plugs at the same time under compression stroke. You may want to get in contact with an aftermarket engine management company to see if they offer a system for your application.
