Marine Application

I'm trying to decide which marine ignition control box is better, the MSD 7ML-2 or 6M-2.
The unit is to be installed in a jetboat with a chevy 350. I'm wondering if either is more reliable than the other, nothing worst to be stranded in the middle of a lake.

I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have

The MSD 6M Marine Ignition is a U.L. certified for use on marine applications that will be used in public boating areas. The MSD 7ML-2 Ignition is intended for sanctioned competition events only where U.L. certification is not required. If you are running a pleasure type craft I would recommend the MSD 6M Marine Ignition. The units electrical components and connectors are sealed against moisture and the unit meets or exceeds all US Coast Guard requirements for use in a marine environment.
