Hi,
I have bought an MSD blaster 2 coil and have fitted it to my 1972 360 powered Australian Mopar. This has a Mopar electronic conversion kit (part # P3690426). The ignition does not have points but does have a ballast resistor so I replaced this with the one that came with the blaster coil. Is this the right thing to do? I ask as as soon as I changed the resistor the fuel gauge in the car developed a tic and now at idle repeatedly flics from a normal reading to full. Once the revs rise the tic reduces but is still occasionally there.

Regards
Richard

The MSD Blaster Coil has generally lower Resistance than a factory type coil. Therefore you will need to run your factory ballast resistor inaddition to the 0.8 ohm ballast resistor that we supply. Reinstall your factory ballast resistor on the vehicle.
