Hi,
I have bought an MSD blaster 2 coil and have fitted it to my 1972 360 powered Australian Mopar. This has a Mopar electronic conversion kit (part # P3690426). The ignition does not have points but does have a ballast resistor so I replaced this with the one that came with the blaster coil. Is this the right thing to do? I ask as as soon as I changed the resistor the fuel gauge in the car developed a tic and now at idle repeatedly flics from a normal reading to full. Once the revs rise the tic reduces but is still occasionally there.
Regards
Richard
