i have a MSD SCI ignition and a SS Blaster Coil sitting in my room. to install this i need a modified MSD distributor cap. My application is a Honda CR-X with a 1989-1991 DOHC VTEC 1.6 Liter B16A motor with a TEC distributor.
i ordered a cap from Summit Racing part # MSD-8292. this is for 93-97 civics, del sols and integras.
i thought this was the right one but i thought wrong. the holes didn't match up and the cap wasn't deep enough.
so i think i need part # MSD-8290. this is for 1989-1991civics and integras. The most important thing to note is that i have a TEC distributor, made between 1989-1991.
The tech guys at Summit are a bunch of hot-rodders and don't know much about this stuff, which is part of the reason i got the wrong stuff in the mail.
so, which msd cap(with part #) do i need. Thanks!!!
