Ive been running an msd pro-billet distributor(pn-8352), blaster 2 coil and msd wires on my carbureated ford 302 for the past 2 years without a single problem. I purchased an msd 6a box at the same time I purchased the other three, but have only recently installed it. The problem is that the car won't start now. I followed the instructions carefully, checked and re-checked my connections and made sure it was grounded properly. The engine simply cranks, but won't start. I disconnected the box and went back to the original coil-only setup and it turns on instantly. I did this a total of 4 times with the same result. My buddies tell me the ignition box is defective because it has never been used since I purchased it 2 years ago. Is there a way to test the box to make sure it's working properly or am I out of luck? Thanks.

With a volt meter, check to see if you have 12 volts during cranking on the small gauge MSD 6A Red wire. This is the wire that goes to your ignition key on/off wire.
