Ignition box for dragrace

I have a 69Camaro with a blown SBC with nitrous. Currently using a 7AL2 with a 2-step for launch control and a window switch to activate the nitrous. I am manually retarding the dsitributor if using nitrous.

What ignition can I switch to that can do all this plus retard the timing without having all the added on boxes (each with a rotary dial control.) My glovebox is full of electronics.

I was looking at the Digital7 programmable but it does a little more than I need with the individual cylinder timing. Will any other box work for this application?

Is the add-on digital box for the 7AL2 capable of handling this?

The add-on digital box for the 7AL-2 would work, or you could go with the MSD Digital 7 Plus, PN 7520. That unit has everything you need that you are looking for. Here is a link for some more info on it.

Will either of these control the nitrous activation like the window switch does? Or what would I need to do to add that?

You will need the MSD RPM Activated Window Switch, PN 8956, with those two units. One ignition that I should have mentioned to you that has all the retard functions and the RPM Activated Window Switch built into it is the MSD 7AL-3, PN 7230. That unit can do everything that need. The only other Ignition that MSD offers that has the Window Switch Built in is the MSD Digital 7 Programmable, PN 7530.
