I have heard several different opinions and I'm looking for some answers. When welding on the frame is it sufficient to just take the positive battery cable off or do you need to unhook the 6AL completly? I have heard both ways. I had my car in the shop and they did considerable welding on the rearend and chassis. I drove approx. 2 miles and the car died. There is damage to the box and distributor. The shop says they are not responsible. I feel that they are. Please advise, this has gotten expensive and I feel they owe me some $$$$$$$.

When doing any welding, it always recommended to remove both the heavy red and heavy black from the MSD Unit, also as a precaution we also recommend the small red of the MSD Unit. Welding on a vehicle cause heavy power surges that could damage any electronic component.
