STUTTER BOX?

I have a 6AL ,a "dial the rpm" plug-in module(can't remember the part #),MSD billet distributor and a Blaster coil.
This stuff was in a boat which partially sunk,twice,in the same day. The third time I tried to run the boat,the boat had a terrible miss and sounded as though a ignition limiter was engaged.(stuttered!)
The is NOT a marine unit but I understood the components are "potted" and,I assumed,were "bullet-proof".
What do you think?

First, I would unplug the "dial-a-rpm" and see if the miss goes away. Basically the rpm module is a resistor and if the "dail-a-rpm" is shorted (caused by corrosion) or the resistance on it has dropped then it may be causing the rpm to limit early. To be safe, you may want to consider sending all the parts that where under water in to be checked out, especially if it was in salt water.
