Output For Electric Shifter

I have one of the first 7530 ignition's. It works great. I already use the RPM activation switch for my nitrous window switch. I believe this is the brown/ white wire. Can I use the yellow shift light output wire to signal an electric shifter? I would use a relay for the signal input from the wire but need to know if this wire supplies a ground or power?
Will the (ground or power signal) shut off after a short period of time or will it stay on above the programmed RPM?

Yes you can use it to drive the shifter, It supplies ground at the desired RPM and a relay is recommended. Once the engine RPM drops the shift light will move to the next gear, so you would want to program the shift light for each gear, I.E. 6800 1st, 6800 2nd etc.

I was worried about it shifting me into neutral if I hit the same RPM in top gear.
I did not look at the programming to see I can raise the shift point up a lot higher after the 1/2 shift. I have a powerglide car so I just need it to shift one time.
