MSD Digital 6+ with Multi Function Ignition

Will they work together?

I read someplacen (in a catalot) that the Multi Function Ignition controller (specially 8977 for my applications) will work with any 6 series MSD ignition. However, when I read the installation instructions (prior to purchase) it said that the Controller will only work with 6AL and 6BTM ignitions.

So...which is right? Is the controller usable with all 6 series ignitions or just MSD 6AL or 6 BTM? More specifically, will it work with Digital 6+?

The Digital 6 will work with the 8977, but the only feature that it will not work is going to be the rev limiter, the Digital 6 has no plug for the rev limiter on the 8977, so you will only be able to use the 2 Step built in the Digital 6 Unit. All the other features it will work fine.
