new install

i just installed a 6a box with a pro billit dist in my 1968 dart w/440
on initial start it started and shut off as soon as i let go of the key.
i rechecked 12 volt key on power O.K.
then i started again and it starts and idles ,but acts like timing is retarding
or spark is very weak? i checked timing off idle and seems to advace fine.
but same problem. i am using a blaster 2 coil that i ran w/chrysler system.
car ran fine before change over??

Make sure that the coil does not have a ballast resistor in line, also check that the small red has full 12 volts when cranking and in the run position. If the small red has it could be that the small red has the ballast resistor and could create a problem. You may also have to try different spring combinations to see where it will respond better.
