I have a MSD 42354 Multi Channel Control Module that has never been run, and would like to use it on my dyno with both twin cylinder and three cylinder snowmobile engines. What is the difference between the 42354 and the 42351, does one have more or different features? I don't have the instruction manual for my 42354, and it's not available online, I did however download the manual for the 42351, are they the same?

The differences between the two units are the timing features. Part number 42354 is what’s known as a valley box and is no longer available. If you plan on using the Multi Channel ignition part number 42351 on your snowmobile engine I would not recommend setting up your dyno with the valley box. If you have any questions or would like the instruction for the valley unit please contact me.

Thank you
