I have a 1986 ford mustang 5.0L and i dont know really anything about cars. i just purchased a set of 8.5mm MSD super conductor spark plug wires and decided i wanted to redo my entire ignition system because my mechanic said that it wasnt long before it went out. So if anyone can help me i was wondering what kind of distributor would be best for it and if i need anything else to go with it........maybe new plugs, rotor? if anyone could help it would be greatly appriciated

The recommended system for your 1986 Ford Mustang with the 5.0L engine would be to use our MSD Pro Billet Ford TFI Distributor, PN 8456, with an MSD 6AL Ignition, PN 6420 and a MSD Blaster TFI Coil, PN 8227. This would upgrade your complete ignition system and provide you with increased spark, a more stable distributor and a rev limiter that will protect your engine from missed shifts or broken driveline components.
