I'm just about (2 wks) to fire up a ram jet 502 in my '70 Cutlass. This engine comes with a MEFI 3 engine controller and HEI setup. I'd like to have a rev limiter and I like some of the features described for the digital 6 plus. My question is; will the 6+ provide any performance boost (street use mostly), and will it work with the MEFI 3 engine computer?
Thanks.

The Digital 6 Plus will be the best unit to use for your application, it offers the built in 2 Step and Single Stage of Retard for nitrous or high speed. The MEFI 3 Controller was originally designed for marine, which are now being used for street application because of their simplicity to install and operate. The Digital 6 should work with this application. If the distributor is the HEI w/internal coil you could use the PN 8875 Harness for easier installation. Or if you have the HEI w/external coil, which looks like the MSD PN 8226 Coil, you could use the PN 8876 Plug in Harness for easier installation of the Digital 6.
Thanks,
