I am about to fit an msd multi channel ignition to my superjet

MY question is can i wire the msd to have constant power on it
in other words hardwire the switch so its always on
i know the old ones used to not like this but how about the new ones

If this is no good can i switch the voilet wire of my lanyard instead of the lanyard switch if i use this to turn off the power will it hurt the ignition

I am not worried if i can wire it up , more if i can do it with out damage to the ignition

Hello,
I would not recommend constant power to the 42351 as there is some residual voltage draw from the ignition even with the jet ski not running. You can run the violet wire to the lanyard switch as long as it will cut power (12 volts) to the ignition with the lanyard removed. Please let me know if you have any other questions. will the igntion be effected by the constant power or just the battey

and do you have an idea of the constant draw
i mean is it likely to flatten a battery of the period of two days

There have been instances where constant power,(although very few) has taken out the ignition as well as the battery. I do not have what the exact current draw,(actually to small to measure without a scope) is on the 42351 but I don't think it would be significant enough to drain the power on a fully charged battery in two days.
