hi ,
i have a ca18det engine(nissan)and im going to buy a microtech engine management
which msd you recomend me to use??,
the dis-4 or the sci??
the engine uses 1 coil on each cylinder,and is distributorless,it uses a crank agle sensor(cas)
will i still be able to use my 2 step??
or do they have it build in??
any help which on i need?

If the engine has 1 coil per cylinder and does not have a driver built into the coil, then you will need to run the DIS-4 Ignition, PN 6215. The DIS-4 has a built-in Two Step function that can be activated with a single wire.

ok i get it ,
but the dis-4 also has a timing retard which is a feature i wont need since my engine management(microtech)is controling fuel and timing!!!!!
do you still recomend me to use the dis-4??

Yes, the DIS-4 units timing function is selectable and does not have to be used if you don't need it. Since you are going to use the timing control function of the microtech/fuel controller then do not use the DIS-4's timing function.
