Steve Torrence scored his first career Top Fuel win taking down a tire-smoking Tony Schumacher in the Atlanta Dragway final. In Funny Car, Ron Capps breaks his winless streak by taking down Robert Hight in the final. Pro Stock had Greg Anderson score his third win of the season holding off a hard-charging teammate Jason Line. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Eddie Krawiec took care of Michael Ray in the final for the win.
