I split off from the newbies and cruised with the pack, sort of, to
Indy. First we met at the fairgrounds and hit the road
as a big group.
It was cool being back in the pack with the '55.

There's always some traffic congestion when leaving from the start.
Don't let it get to you - just take it all in.
Beats being at work,
right?

Once things opened up, look who popped into view. Looks like an '05
Mustang, sounds like it has a blower -
it's Uncle Robin Lawrence! He
and Vortech's Rickie Best made the whole tour in Robin's Real Street
race car!

While stopped at a rest area this '62 Dodge rolled in. Three months
ago this guy was racing in the unlimited class
at the Big Bend Open
Road Race! Wide open racing to Power Tour in the same car - too cool!

Before pulling into the track at Indy, I stopped to pick up some Sliders
for the newbies.
You can't do a road trip without some White Castles!

The lanes at Indy were packed with haulers waiting for their turn
down the 1320!

Tour veteran and drag radial racer Matt Swindle couldn't resist making
a few passes.

Neither could Kevin McClellend behind the wheel of the Flowmaster
GTO.

This '56 was too cool and a favorite of mine! Don't judge a book by
it's cover as the shoebox was bolted to a late model Caprice chassis
complete with LT1 and overdrive.

Blown Mopar power tore up the surface with a John Force style burnout/pass!

Running with a few good friends is a great help when things go wrong.
There has to be at least one fellow to supervise, one to hold tools
and everyone that passes by will have an opinion on how to fix it.
