One day of racing that is! Hot Rod's Drag Week is on the final day. After two rain-outs, one change of venue and directions, and thousands of gallons of race fuel, it will all be decided today. Thanks for the pics mom-Todd.

Power Tour is down over the hump and the gang is now heading to Pennsylvania and on to New Jersey. It's been great weather so far, but the next couple days look questionable. Keep your fingers crossed.
MSD is still rolling for the long haul and our CTS-V is running strong. Very strong! The Procharged 408 was great to drive through the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway (and since Florida for that matter). Stop by and see us in the northeast! We'll have more photos and info from the drive next week!

The 2006 MSD Car Show had a spectacular display of vehicles running the gamut from street cars to race cars and everything in between. The weather was great with the MSD employees dishing out burgers and hot dogs along with refreshing drinks. We had a bunch of door prizes that were given away (thanks to those teams and companies that contributed)! and there was even a karaoke competition with the employees. All in all it was a great day and turn out for our 2nd annual car show! Follow along the pictures:

DRAG
WEEK
The first ever Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week pitted racers against a grueling schedule
of five tracks in five days with the quickest average winning it all. MSD was
proud to be involved and hosted the kick off in Kansas City. Special thanks to
our rep Larry Johnson for firing up his barbeque and feeding everyone at the
track!
The event ended at US 131 in Martin,
Michigan and the overall winner was Carl Scott in his big block, nitroused Chevy
II averaging 8.581 at 157.138 mph. In the NA big block class, Jay Brown ran his
Mach 1 to an average of 10.634, while the NA small block class went to Eric Neifert
with an 11.18 iin his '68 Camaro. Brian Corrigan won the Daily Driver (12-second)
class by averaging 0.5mph over Tom Fauglid. The two were tied after five days
with 12.005 each! The small block power adder class was won by Jim Neuenfeldt's
'03 Chevy pickup with a 10.242 average thanks to a turbo'd LS1 based powerplant.
Nice tuning guys!

Hot Rod Magazine hosted their second Pump
Gas Drags in Memphis on Friday, May 12 -
and it was a great event! About 50 street cars showed up
in Memphis, Tennessee, to duke it out for the title – no
cash, just flat out bragging rights. These cars were treated
to 12 gallons of Rockett Fuel’s 93-octane mix then
had to make a 30+ mile drive to the strip. (Only three cars
failed to make the rush hour drive.) Once at the track, the
hoods remained shut, and they lined up to get three passes
down the track. The quickest average was deemed the winner
and they honor went to the ’34 Ford Coupe owned by
Ken Close with an average of 8.853. Follow
here to check out more photos and to see the top 10!
MSD was excited to be a part of the
Pump Gas Drags and even put up a special one-off jacket for the
quickest pass!
Congratulations to Florida based Chad Williams
who's driver and builder Jason Heffner pulled off an 8.629
in a twin turbo ’02 Viper.

The
MSD Car Show turned out to be loads of fun! With the music
blasting the grounds and the MSD crew serving up the burgers
and hot dogs you could not ask for a better day. Click through
